Jeffers set to earn first League start

0 Comments | Gloucestershire Echo, The, Sep 3, 2010 | by JON PALMER

CHELTENHAM Town boss Mark Yates says loan sensation Shaun Jeffers is close to being handed his first Football League start.

The Coventry City teenager has already scored two goals since joining the Robins on the eve of the new season.

Jeffers also went on as a second-half substitute in last week’s home match against Burton Albion and set up goals for Wesley Thomas and Josh Low as Cheltenham recovered from a goal down to snatch all three points.

He has agreed an extension to his loan that will keep him at the Abbey Business Stadium until the January transfer window, although the Sky Blues have a 24-hour recall option should they need him back.

Jeffers was on England Under-19s duty last night for their home friendly against Slovakia at Crewe Alexandra, but he will return in time to travel to Barnet with Cheltenham tomorrow.

“I am delighted with Shaun’s progress,” Yates said.

“He has only started one game and he has scored two goals so he is really pushing for his start.

“Being in the England Under-19 squad is a great reward for him.

“He is still a young boy, with a fantastic attitude and he is desperate to keep learning and improving.

“He still has a lot to do, but I am sure he will force his way into our team and there is a strong possibility of him starting on Saturday.”

Meanwhile, young striker Jake Lee has joined Cirencester Town on loan, joining fellow first-year professional Josh Emery at the Zamaretto League Premier Division club.

Yates said that one more of his youngsters are likely to be loaned out next week to gain first-team experience.

“I want my young players playing at the best standard possible,” Yates said.

“We have good potential here, but a few lads are not getting in so the message is for them to keep working hard and we will be sending people out to watch them.

“I am not going to leave myself short, but if I can get one more out, I don’t think it’s a massive issue if we only have six substitutes (out of a maximum of seven) at the moment. “They need regular football and I think we would see a better Marley Watkins in two months’ time if he went out and played.

“So I am willing to sacrifice the body so he comes back a better player.”

Dark green shades goes

Sat ,04/09/2010

Dark green shades goes well with almost all complexions. For those who have complexions with narrower eyes, metallic shades are the best. When applied on the eyes, a metallic shade like silver or gold can make the eyes look bigger and more wide-awake. You can contrast this with a different shade of eyeshadow like green with bronze, silver with white, or go monochromatic by using lighter tones of the same color family as your eyeliner.

4. The skin tone test

When choosing the best eyeshadow, it is best if you consider your skin tone first. Usually, there are eyeshadows that do not blend well with one?s skin complexion. Hence, it is important to consider them when choosing eyeshadows.

For example, women who have dark skin complexions, it would be better if you choose darker shades of eye shadows. Choosing lighter shades like pebbles would only make your eyes look dusty.

5. The rule of thumb

Before you buy your eyeshadows, it is best to remember that dark colors tend to make the eyes appear to diminish in size.

This is rather

This is rather odd of academia in that science is about seeking answers and truths to those things around us we observe. If we teach bogus academic theory and do not rid our High School and College textbooks of these bogus academic theories we are doing a disservice to our future generations. Such methodology will lead to fewer discoveries and slow the forward progression of the species entirely.

Academia must come clean on the bogus theories and claims it purports. If something cannot be proved then it must not be taught as fact, no matter which brilliant genius of which past period claimed it. If we fail to understand this basic principle in science then no meaningful forward progression of the species can be achieved. Luckily today we have many who are challenging the experts and will not settle for; ?because I told you so? or because; ?it says so in your text book? and for those minds who challenge the status quo, I salute you.

We must review all the old textbooks to make sure what we are teaching is correct.

The practical knowledge you learn from running

Sat ,04/09/2010

The practical knowledge you learn from running your business can help your academic work and vice-versa. Some schools will allow you to earn academic credit from or do an independent study of your business. You can also base class projects on your business. That means, you might be able to create a marketing plan or develop new sales strategies or markets for your business on your “school time.”

Your creativity is probably at a high point. Young people have a fresh perspective on the world. This perspective lends itself to seeing many opportunities that haven’t already been exploited. You can get

Sat ,04/09/2010

You can get gourmet coffee already ground or you can buy whole beans and grind them at home. You can also get whole beans and grind them with the in-store grinder which accompanies almost all decent gourmet coffee displays. Don’t be afraid of the machine. It won’t chop your fingers off. They’re easy to use. You just select the coarseness of the grind, dump your coffee in the machine, load a bag below, and push the button. In seconds you have fresh-ground coffee. If you want to grind gourmet coffee at home, there are a variety of home coffee grinders on the market. Most are pretty cheap and will last a long time.

In other words,

Sat ,04/09/2010

In other words, I let them take an actual math section test, under the same time constraints as the actual SAT, and then I go over it point by point. Then I request that they retake the entire test after reviewing my notes and worked-out solutions. After doing this repeatedly, their ability to get through the problems successfully increases dramatically. Bear in mind that while I show them the step-by-step solutions, I also fill in their weak spots by re-teaching them material they need to know. By providing this type of tutoring, the students test scores invariably go up; and both they and their parents are always pleased with this accomplishment.

Lodges are very

Sat ,04/09/2010

Lodges are very comfortable and typically offer double-occupancy bedrooms with private bathrooms, excellent cuisine, a games room, a well stocked bar, hot tubs and massage facilities. The first run of the day is nearby and guests often ski to the lodge door at the end of the day.

Remote lodges help guests relax and enjoy their vacation. Guests are isolated from telephones, TV and the bustle of civilization. Soaking in a hot tub, with refreshment in hand, guests watch the drifting snow or the last rays of sunlight leave the surrounding peaks. It?s a relaxing way to cap a full day of powder skiing. The problem of the day becomes whether to have a massage before or after the hot tub (or perhaps to do the hot tub twice). Lodge life is very informal and there are no decisions about what to wear to dinner. You only brought one pair of sweatpants!

Most snowcat operators cater to 12, 24 or 36 clients, who ski from independent snowcats.

Not only is

Sat ,04/09/2010

Not only is proper maintenance a requirement to maintain an active warranty, but all mechanical parts need a little oil to help them turn smoothly and to keep them clean. Applying shredder oil to the cutting heads inside a shredder lubricates them so that they efficiently destroy documents sheet after sheet. Fortunately, you will find that taking good care of your shredder is less expensive, faster and easier than caring for your car.

Every time you shred a sheet of paper a fine dust made of tiny paper particles is produced. This dust collects in the cutting assembly of a paper shredder. If allowed to build up, this dust will compact until it completely blocks the smooth turning of the cutting head. Shredder oil will actually break up the compacted dust lodged in the cutting assembly, allowing the parts to move and push out the softened dust.

Shredder oil is specially formulated to eliminate oil residue on the cutting head. Other oils, like WD-40, will attract dust, further clogging the cutters. When lubricating your paper shredder, only use oil specifically designated for shredder use or risk voiding your warranty and further clogging your shredder.

The frequency with which you should oil your shredder depends on several factors: frequency of use, shredder capacity, cut size and type of paper.

Unit to vet Net postings

0 Comments | New Straits Times, Sep 3, 2010 | by Shuhada Elis

KUALA LUMPUR: A special unit will be set up at the Home Ministry to monitor sensitive postings on the Internet, including Facebook, the social networking site.

Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein said the unit would also keep an eye on high-profile cases and current issues which were being sensationalised.

He said the decision to form the unit was made at the ministry’s post-cabinet meeting on Wednesday.

“They will monitor the social networking sites, among others, with the help of experts from the police, Attorney-General’s Chambers and judiciary department.

“We cannot let the ministry handle everything alone,” he said after attending a “Takbir Hari Raya Aidilfitri” recording with Narcotic Addiction Rehabilitation Centre (Puspen) inmates in Sungai Besi yesterday.

Also present was Deputy Home Minister Datuk Abu Seman Yusop.

Hishammuddin was commenting on the creation of Facebook’s fan- page titled “Melayu Babi”, which has 1,075 fans. Several police reports have been lodged against the page.

He said such action was worrying for the country’s multiracial community as it would instil hatred and anger.

The ministry would also investigate allegations that Lembah Pantai member of parliament Nurul Izzah Anwar had called for a public debate with Perkasa on Article 153 in the Federal Constitution. The article is on the special position of the Malays.

Hishammuddin, who is also the Umno vice-president, said such a move was irresponsible as it would create suspicion among Malaysians that could lead to disunity.

“I personally think that it is a wrong approach and may be politically motivated.”

He said several police reports had been lodged against Nurul, daughter of opposition leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, and the Attorney-General’s Chambers would decide on the next course of action.
